One brand which stands out in the market in terms of quality is Sony though it has almost gone out of mobile segment. However people still appreciate the quality of smartphone from this Japanese player though the model were little on higher price side. There were many series which were there in the market even in 4G network but it was not sufficient to beat the competition.

Sony was main players in the 3G space mainly and to some extent in the 4G space. It was the period when Chinese brands have not arrived in Indian market and quality of models was not very high from local brands. In its good time it was good competitor to Samsung and other like players. There were not many feature phone from this brand and most models were based on Android OS.

There were tablets also launched by Sony in Indian market and they were received well. However the segment did not grow much and hence we have not seen many models coming up in this segment. Camera is one segment where still Sony is strong player in India. It has models with very advanced features which makes its products appealing even for professional usage.
