In Indian smartphone market most of the local brands have been struggling to compete with Chinese players and many of them has almost like given up in the competition. However Micromax is one brand which has not given up and still coming out models in both low price range as well as high price range in Indian market in 2022.

To leverage on emotional connect being an Indian player it has come out with Micromax IN series which has smartphone in very price level starting from Rs. 8,999. Also these model are marketed to Indian users as made in India for Indian products. It will take some time before one can say if it has been a smart strategy from the company.

Now a days the main competition in Indian market is in 4G and 5G network space and Micromax has models in both the categories. However the no. of models are not so many and still they are not able to give competition to Chinese players models.
