There are many global smartphone brands from China but Huawei is among the top due to its aggressive approach. However it has not been able to maintain the same status in Indian market. It made entry in the market with 4G models mainly and now has even 5G models but it has struggled to get good response from Indian consumers.
The smartphone from Huawei are in wide price range and hence caters to wide range of consumer base in India. However when we try to see a top selling model, we don’t see any entry from Huawei. It is quite tough to find the reason behind lagging performance of this brand in Indian market. There is also tough competition in every segment and this brand is not able to place itself unique and competitive in any of them so far.
To get good foot hold it has also smartwatches in its portfolio which are in the low to medium price range only. They are well equipped with quality features and very appealing design. However the cut throat competition is too much for this brand in this category also. It would be interesting to see the performance of 5G models from this player in year 2022.
