Though its not a top selling brand in the market, Gionee has reputation of having good models in reasonable price range in the Indian market. It entered into Indian market 2-3 years back only but has been aggressive with new models launches quite regularly. It is one of the few models which had good 3G smartphone portfolio for Indian consumers.

Even today the player is quite active in the market though not as aggressive as top brands like Vivo, OPPO. However its steadiness is one strength which has kept it relevant among Indian consumers. In the coming time we will see more models coming out in 5G network category also. One thing that this model could not achieve is top selling model which is key to get good market share. Most of the models have been at best mediocre in their performance among Indian consumers.

Like other Chinese players, Gionee has smartwatch portfolio also which has good quality models at reasonable price range. Some of the models even entry level users in less than Rs. 5,000 price category can afford. It would be interesting to see if this model can bring out top selling models in smartwatch category. However the high competition already in the market will make tough for this brand and also for others.
