There was many Chinese brands operating in Indian market in smartphone but ASUS is unique in some ways from them. This is the only model which has good quality rugged phone for Indian consumers at moderate price level. However the brand has not been able to make big gains on these models as the size of the market for rugged models is not so big and still emerging even in 2022.

Though ASUS has multiple product categories in the market, mainly it is into smartphone and laptop. In recent times it has also started increasing its focus on the tablets also which is in tune with what is being coming out in the market also. Also most of the models are into 4G space and yet to see models in the 5G space from this player.

Also it has gaming smartphone models for Indian consumers which gained momentum after roll out of 4G services only. Since rugged and gaming models are emerging now hopefully the brand will have better going in the year 2022 and after that. However to become a top players in the market one has to have good portfolio of smartphone models. Pricing will not be major issue for this as it is a global brand already.
